Donor Care Lead for Tōtara Hospice

Tōtara Hospice provides free, specialist palliative care to all eligible individuals and their families, in the districts of south and southeast Auckland. This allows patients and their whānau to focus on living every moment that they have together, as well as they can. https://hospice.co.nz/

The role:

The Donor Care Lead is responsible for the creation, coordination and delivery of the donor care and trusts and grants portfolio. They will report to the Head of Fundraising and Public Relations and work alongside the team to build and maintain campaigns and processes that support and prioritise growing the donor base.

Key responsibilities of this role include the planning and implementation of a donor engagement strategy, managing the trusts and grants process, leading the bequest strategy, and overseeing the donor database.

You will need the following:

  • 3+ years’ experience running individual giving programmes
  • Proven track record of implementing revenue generating strategies and campaigns
  • Ability to work as an effective and collaborative member of a team
  • Ideally trusts and grants experience, with an understanding of applications and accountability
  • Excellent relationship management skills, and exceptional written communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure when managing deadlines
