Save the Children New Zealand (SCNZ) is a long-standing member of Save the Children Association which supports child-focused programmes and advocacy in more than 120 countries around the world. SCNZ implements a portfolio of development projects across nine countries, and responds to humanitarian events world-wide, and advocates for the rights of children to ensure children are healthy, nourished, protected and learning.

The role:

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager reports to the Philanthropy and Engagement Director and is responsible for managing the team that works with mid-value and high-value donors, as well as corporate partnerships and trusts. You will cultivate and steward Save the Children’s major donors and manage two direct reports.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a good understanding of fundraising best practice and the ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams.

You will need the following:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior relationships fundraising role
  • Proven experience in building, retaining, and stewarding corporate partners or high value multi-year gifts
  • Proven experience communicating a large organisation’s strategic objectives

Excellent communication skills, including public speaking
