Bowel Cancer New Zealand (BCNZ) is a nationwide, patient-focused charity dedicated to reducing the impact of bowel cancer in our communities through awareness, education, advocacy, research and support. Our goal is to lead the world with solutions to reduce New Zealand’s bowel cancer statistics and free future generations from the impact of bowel cancer.
The role:
BCNZ is seeking a dynamic and motivated Fundraising Manager to help lead the fight against one of the country’s most prevalent cancers. In this pivotal role, you’ll manage and grow key income streams, including Major Donors, Bequests, Corporate Partnerships, and Individual Giving, ensuring the organization's continued impact through awareness, education, advocacy, research and support.
You’ll be responsible for developing innovative fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and leading initiatives such as the ‘Move Your Butt’ campaign and corporate partnerships.
You will need the following:
- 5+ years’ proven fundraising experience, securing gifts from individuals/businesses, managing multiple revenue streams, conducting prospect research, budgeting, writing and contributing to fundraising strategy
- Strong understanding of donor psychology and concepts such as the fundraising pyramid, donor journeys and moves management
- Strong understanding of donor management and databases, preferably Salesforce
- Advance level experience with Mailchimp, Canva, and Microsoft Suite
